Mamadou Oury Pilimini Diallo, originally from Labe, Guinea, currently resides in Wake Forest, NC, with his wife and two children. His career spans over 30 years in financial, managerial, and leadership positions with local and international non-governmental organizations and has taken him to many countries in Africa, as well as Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the United States.

In 1985, the Christian Reformed World Mission selected teenage Oury to teach his native Fulani language to U.S. missionary families in Guinea. Before his international career, Oury contributed to his home country’s development through roles in USAID-funded projects and worked with organizations including Chemonics International and Winrock International.

He served as Finance Manager & Liaison Officer for ALIGHT (formerly American Refugee Committee), then worked for three years as a budget analyst for the US Embassy in Guinea. Oury returned to ALIGHT in 2004 to do financial management in Sudan and a year later in Uganda. From 2006 through 2010, he assumed various leadership roles at ALIGHT headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. He joined IntraHealth International, Chapel Hill, NC in 2011, and then Ipas in 2012. Since 2015, Oury has served in his current commuter employee position as Director of Program Finance with Orbis International in New York City.

Passionate about making a positive impact in Guinea, he helped to found Guinnovation with the Guinean diaspora and other friends. Oury holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Phoenix and an MBA from the University of the People. He speaks French, English, and Fulani.
