Fanta Jalloh was born in the Labe region of Guinea and grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. She holds a degree in clinical research and a certification as a qualified clinical research central monitor. She began her career in 2016 and has since worked with several global organizations on study indications, mainly on infectious diseases, respiratory illness, oncology, and medical devices. Working with risk-based monitoring studies as a site monitor, Fanta is grateful for the difference she makes in patients’ lives and safety before new drugs go on the market. She witnessed first-hand how lack of quality health care and access to it can be detrimental to patients and their families. A lack of medical supplies and health care disparities in Guinean clinics created significant pain and discomfort during some of her own family members’ final days. From that experience, Fanta is driven to make a difference. She feels honored to join Guinnovation as a Board of Director’s member in hopes her knowledge of the medical industry can contribute to life-changing solutions and education in developing countries. She is passionate about contributing to the community and giving voice to those who feel unheard. Outside of career, Fanta enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family.
