Amadou Mouctar Traore was born in the Tougue prefecture in the Republic of Guinea where he completed his primary education. He attended middle and high school in the Pita prefecture, and received his higher education at Gamal Abdel Nasser University in the capital, Conakry.
Very early in his secondary education, Amadou entered community life by creating a cultural and sports association called Best Promotion. They organized cultural and sporting activities during the holidays. Later, Amadou joined the Association of Young People for the Development of Pita and served several years as its president.
Having a passion for community life, Mr. Traore helped create a non-governmental organization called Sigon Development Fund, an NGO that deals with the development of his hometown.
As president of the NGO, Amadou worked mainly in the field of education by raising funds to provide textbooks to all primary school pupils in the Sigon sub-prefecture. The NGO participated in several projects to assist underserved communities in the Sigon sub-prefecture.
Today, in addition to his community activities, Amadou works at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Guinea.
