Thierno Samba Diallo is currently the Chief of Party (CoP) for a Save the Children led multimillion multiyear USAID/BHA funded Resilience Food Security Activity (RFSA) in Mali. Mr. Diallo has over 22 years in designing and implementing development and humanitarian programs in West, Central and East Africa. Prior to this role, Mr. Diallo has led multiple country portfolios as Country Director, Deputy Country Director, Director of Programs & Operations, Operations Manager, etc. in Niger, Mali, DR Congo, Uganda, Liberia and Guinea, and programs’ support in Nigeria. Mr. Diallo brings a wealth of strategic leadership experience and expertise in food security and livelihoods, private sector development, financial services, market systems development, resilience building, conflict management, monitoring and evaluation, policy and implementation, donors’ relation, and governance.
Mr. Diallo holds a bachelor’s degree in English (Literature and business development), master’s degree in public administration (MPA) from the University of Liverpool and an associate degree in finance and accounting. He is fluent in French and English and has basic Arabic skills.
